Prentiss Nixon is an American guard from Illinois who is returning for his third season with the B. Braun Sheffield Sharks in 2025–26.

A firm fan favourite at the Canon Medical Arena, he made his mark last season and was recognised in the SLB's Team of the Year for his influence on both ends of the floor and his ability to lift the team in big moments.

Prentiss set the tone early in his second year with a standout performance on the road in Cheshire, and he kept delivering throughout the campaign. He knows what it means to wear the Sharks jersey—playing with grit, setting an example, and leaving everything on the floor. Those qualities have helped cement his reputation at Sheffield as a leader in the locker room and a player who rises to the occasion.

He first joined the Sharks part-way through the 2023–24 season and quickly earned the trust of teammates and fans alike. One of his most memorable moments came in the playoff quarterfinals at Leicester, where he hit a game‑winning three to force a decisive third game—an example of his calm under pressure and knack for clutch plays.

Before arriving in Sheffield, Nixon built a wide-ranging professional career across Europe, with stints in Finland, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia and Kosovo, following his collegiate years at Iowa State and Colorado State. That experience has shaped a well-rounded, competitive approach to the game. Nixon’s connection to Sheffield is genuine. He speaks warmly about the city, the club and its supporters, and has said he’s thrilled to be back, with more big moments still to come.

As he returns for 2025–26, his focus is on driving the Sharks forward and making the most of the energy and passion that the fans bring every night.
